Echeveria Agavoides, commonly known as the “Lipstick Echeveria,” is a stunning succulent with rosettes of fleshy, triangular leaves that form a distinctive red tip resembling a drop of lipstick. This compact and low-growing plant is a favorite among succulent enthusiasts for its striking appearance and ease of care.
Plant Care Needs
• ☀: Place in bright, indirect sunlight. Prefers at least 4-6 hours of sunlight per day. Protect from intense, direct sunlight to prevent sunburn.
• 💦: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, but infrequently, approximately every 7-10 days, depending on environmental conditions and season.
• 🪨: Plant in well-draining succulent or cactus soil mix. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging. We recommend Tits & Grit Cacti & Succulent Mix!
• 🌡️: Thrives in temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Protect from frost and extreme temperature fluctuations.
• ☁: Adapted to low humidity environments. Does not require additional misting.
• ✂: Propagate from offsets or leaf cuttings. Allow cuttings to callus before planting in moist, well-draining soil.
• ⚖: Low to moderate maintenance. Suitable for beginners and experienced growers alike.
• 💭:
- Fertilize sparingly with a balanced fertilizer diluted to half strength during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Protect from overwatering, as Echeveria Agavoides is susceptible to root rot. Ensure proper drainage and avoid leaving water in the rosettes.
