‘Chained Chances’ features a handblown glass sphere suspended from a pewter-toned ribbon adorned with delicate foliage. Silver chains entwine the sphere’s circular vents, cascading into three unique strands below. Each strand tells its own story: a vintage key, a trinket charm, and a haphazard stack of charcoal buttons & stone beads. From within, the Senecio stapelliformis, known as the Pickle Plant, spills outward— reaching for the light before an unavoidable descent. ‘Chained Chances’ integrates the tension of striving for freedom while being held back, capturing a sense of delicate restraint.
