Plant Care Needs

• ☀️: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Can tolerate some direct sunlight, particularly in the morning or late afternoon.

•💦: Allow the soil to dry out partially between waterings (or completely!). Water thoroughly, then let the soil dry completely before watering again. Typically, water every 7-10 days during the growing season and reduce frequency in winter.

•🪨: Well-draining, aerated potting mix is essential. A mixture of orchid bark, perlite, and peat moss provides good drainage and aeration. We recommend our cHuNkY mOnKeY Epiphytic Blend!

•🌡️: Prefers warm temperatures between 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 27°C). Protect from cold drafts and sudden temperature fluctuations.

•☁️: Thrives in high humidity environments. Mist the leaves regularly or use a humidifier to maintain humidity levels, especially in dry indoor conditions.

• ✂: Easily propagated from stem cuttings. Cut a healthy stem below a node and place it in water or moist potting mix until roots develop.

• ⚖: Moderate maintenance. Suitable for indoor gardeners with some experience.

•💭:

  • Provide support for climbing stems as Hoya Pubicalyx Splash is a vining plant. We recommend a moss pole or trellis!
  • Fertilize regularly during the growing season with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength. Reduce fertilization in winter when growth slows.
  • Prune leggy or overgrown stems to encourage bushier growth and maintain the plant’s appearance.
  • Hoya Pubicalyx Splash may go through periods of dormancy, during which it requires less frequent watering and fertilization. Resume regular care when new growth appears.
