With its spherical, bead-like leaves and trailing growth habit, this plant adds a whimsical and ethereal touch to any indoor space. The String of Pearls is perfect for plant lovers seeking a low-maintenance yet visually stunning addition to their home or office.
Plant Care Needs
• ☀️: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. ***Prefers filtered sunlight or partial shade.*** Protect from intense, direct sunlight.
• 💦: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, approximately every 2-3 weeks, depending on environmental conditions.
• 🪨: Use well-draining soil mix specifically formulated for succulents or cacti. String of Pearls prefers soil with good aeration to prevent root rot. We recommend our Tits & Grit Cacti & Succulent Soil Blend!
• 🌡️: Prefers temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). Tolerates a wide range of temperatures but protect from frost.
• ☁: Adaptable to normal indoor humidity levels. Does not require additional misting.
• ✂: Propagate String of Pearls through stem cuttings. Simply snip a healthy stem segment and allow it to callus for a few days before planting it in moist, well-draining soil.
• ⚖: Moderate maintenance. Suitable for plant enthusiasts willing to provide occasional care and attention.
• 💭:
- Fertilize sparingly with a balanced fertilizer diluted to half strength once every 2-3 months during the growing season (spring and summer).
- Prune any leggy or yellowing stems to maintain the plant’s appearance and health.
- Avoid overwatering, as String of Pearls is susceptible to root rot. Ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogged soil.
